PFI’s Precision CNC Lathe Machine: Okuma CNC Lathe

PFI is determined to provide quality services to our clients, and in order to do that, we must use the best machining tools in the industry. When it comes to a Computer Numerical Control Lathe, PFI Advanced Equipment Manufacturing trusts the Okuma CNC Lathe. We have been using their tools for over 5 years because they are built for the high production runs that we are looking for our clients.

What Is the best CNC machine brand?

What is a CNC lathe? This is a tool where the material is clamped and rotated by a spindle. Meanwhile, the cutting is performed by very precise machine calculations.

So what is the best CNC machine brand? While there were a number of other brands that the PFI could have chosen, we personally have decided to choose Okuma. Okuma’s dedication is very clear; their staff is immensely knowledgeable and always eager to help whenever we are in need. We know Okuma will be responsive no matter how small the question. As a professional CNC lathe operator, it’s easy to understand why PFI chose this brand for our CNC lathe services.

Why PFI Trusts Okuma Machine Tools

Okuma, a Japanese company since 1898, has a rich history when Founder, Eiichi Okuma, made their first machine. Since then, Okuma has been growing and evolving as one of the top brands on the market as they continue to be on the cutting edge of CNC lathes.

Top CNC lathes need more than customer service to be the best. Okuma also hires the best staff machinists, programmers, engineers and educational specialists. Perhaps the most important is their actual CNC lathe machining tools. Their machines are more reliable, easier, and safer to use. Most importantly to PFI is their longest horizontal range on the market; the next closest competitor is 3 inches smaller.

This allows PFI to meet customized CNC lathe metal specifications for our clients. These fabricated industrial parts are made with computerized precision on a larger machine. It is all of these reasons that PFI is confident when answering what is the best CNC machine brand.

Overview of GENOS L2000-E

When it comes to making our parts with a precision cnc lathe machine, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Some parts require a high-powered and precise one-saddle lathe, this is where the GENOS L2000-E comes in.

The capabilities of the GENOS L2000-E allow PFI Advanced Equipment Manufacturing to make more detailed and exotic parts by using the machine’s high rigid guideways and powerful cutting competency. Although the GENOS L2000-E offers different capabilities than the LB 3000 EX II, these Okuma CNC lathes offer similar benefits such as a small footprint on our workspace and has an operator-friendly design allowing us to make high-quality parts with easier programming, maintenance, and cleanliness.

Overview of LB3000 EX II

Okuma’s LB3000 EX II is manufactured and built in-house which alleviates the need for a third party to install it. Since their machining lathes are compact, this eliminates the need for a safety fence to be installed. Even though PFI is uses the longest okuma CNC lathe on the market, its tight build gives us more space to operate.

In addition to the free space, everything is contained inside of the machine, including cleaning. This gives PFI a much cleaner workspace, free from debris, chips, and coolant. This ensures our clients do not have to ever worry about cross-contamination in their materials.

The LB3000 EXII Armoid uses a Four-Pitch Stocker. This is where we can load the parts to be processed. Using these shelves, the CNC process picks up the parts to feed into the machine and unload it after onto a finished parts shelf. Comparatively, other machines typically use a Parts Catcher, where finished parts are dropped into a catcher causing damage by bumping into each other.

CNC Lathe Metal Projects by PFI

As a CNC lathe operator, we specialize in the ability to create many different industrial components for our clients. In order to do so, we use the top CNC lathes on the market to create precise complex metal machining. Having both the Genos and the LB3000 allows us to set up for all jobs big and small with the ability to utilize the bar feeders that are attached to both of these machines for unmanned high production runs.

Why Trust PFI for CNC Machining

PFI is committed to improving manufacturing processes and remaining current with relevant technologies. We hope we answered what is a CNC lathe and why we chose Okuma as the top CNC lathes out of the competition.

Our PFI staff is excited to help, and we encourage you to reach out to one of our specialists with any inquiries you may have. It is our goal to provide our customers with products that meet their specified requirements and their expectation of quality. You can rely on us for all of your custom CNC lathe machining needs.
