Aerospace Industry Overview
Aerospace refers to the exploration and flight beyond the Earth’s atmosphere. Aerospace engineering and the aerospace industry began with the development of the first airplanes back in 1903. We have seen incredible strides in aerospace technology, including the rise of commercial aircraft, the development of the jet engine, expeditions to Mars, and vehicles that can travel faster than the speed of sound.
None of these advancements could be made without every aerospace component working together in perfect precision. Please contact PFI for a quote on your next Aerospace machining project!
PFI’s Aerospace Fabrication Equipment and Process
PFI Advanced Equipment Manufacturing has a long history of working with aerospace engineers and manufacturers to create custom, unique and specialized components for a variety of aircraft.
During our first conversation, we try to understand the project and learn what design aspects you wish to achieve. We pool our vast knowledge of raw materials and fabrication processes to determine the best methods to create the necessary components. We use a number of fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, milling, and drilling to manufacture the exact parts and pieces that will ultimately make up the aircraft. We also incorporate the precision and accuracy of computers with CNC Machining (Computerized Numerical Control).
